Yes, but we recommend letting Smart SIM do the work for you for the smoothest experience.
Does a Smart SIM replace my existing SIM?
No. A Smart SIM supports your current SIM, there for when you lose signal in the UK and want to avoid expensive roaming costs abroad. Think of it like insurance, ready to kick in whenever you need it.
Do I have to be an Honest customer already to get Smart SIM?
No (although we’d love you to be 🤗). Smart SIM works alongside your original SIM, so you’d still be with your current network.Unless you’d like to switch to Honest, of course. Is now a good time to mention we’re one of the UK’s top rated mobile networks?
Which apps can I use with Smart SIM?
Smart SIM currently works with over 100 apps including WhatsApp, Google Maps, Uber, Citymapper, Monzo and Revolut.

Can I call and text with my Smart SIM?
No. Smart SIM is a data-only SIM giving unlimited data for 100+ apps. You’ll still need your primary SIM to call and text.
The same goes for WhatsApp – for now, it's messaging only.

What’s the ‘beta’ all about?
It’s still early days for Smart SIM, so we’re calling it a beta product while we continue testing and improving it. Over the next few months, you might notice some changes and experience the odd hiccup or two. We’re constantly improving and welcome your feedback anytime.
When can I get a Smart SIM?

Is an eSIM the same as a Smart SIM?
Smart SIM is our game-changing eSIM, giving you unlimited data on 100+ apps on UK networks and in 180+ countries.
An eSIM is a digital version of the physical SIM card living inside your phone. Instead of a tiny chip, eSIMs store all your network info digitally. Think of it like the SIM card's smarter, more convenient sibling.
Can I make WhatsApp calls?
Afraid not. You can message to your heart's content, but for now, can't make calls.
Where else can I get a Smart SIM?
Nowhere. Smart SIM is a product we’ve built ourselves, available only with Honest. We’re pretty proud of it, tbh.
Which networks can I use in the UK?
